Who I Am

My name is Ausra and I’m originally from Lithuania. I have traveled the world and have studied many different cultures and religions. I settled in the Orlando, Florida area about 10 years ago and have two beautiful daughters.

I come from a family of artists and craftsmen. My grandmother used to sew her own clothing and made beautiful dresses. She taught my mother to sew clothes and tapestries. My mom was so good she won contests in Lithuania for her tapestries.

My grandfather built his house with his own hands and my grandmother decorated it with her tapestries. It was a beautiful cottage in the country.

My mother instilled in me my work ethic. She taught me that hard work is the only way to reap rewards. She was right.

Mom now splits her time between her two homes in Lithuania. She loves to garden and spends her summer days tending it and grows the best tasting strawberries ever!

Today, I’m trying to instill a good work ethic in my daughers and help guide them on their path in life. They are the joy of my life.

We are all very spiritually grounded and make a concious decision to be close to mother earth and we try to do our part to help her. The fairies like that, too.

Wishing you and your family all the best!

What I Do

All of my creations are made from natural items that I personally gather from the enchanted forest. The key is to be respectful and make sure I’m not disturbing any living plants. This makes the fairies very happy and more apt to visit. I use bark, dry grasses, pebbles, sticks, shells, feathers, pinecones and nuts to name a few.

Many believe fairy houses need to be built outside. Hogwash. Fairies will visit your new house whether it’s inside or out. As long as your fairy house is built with respect, love, and spirituality…they will come.

My fairy houses are lovingly built by me only. This is not something that can be outsourced in a production environment. Otherwise, the fairies will not visit. They know the difference.

All my fairy houses have something special inside to make the fairies comfortable during their stay. Things like comfortable feather beds, chairs and tables. Peer through the windows and you’ll see the happy home I’ve created for them. If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of a fairy enjoying a stay.

Because my fairy houses are made from natural items, they are fragile and should be handled with great care. I seal the wood with varathane to help them last. But, they are not toys and should be kept away from small children unless supervised by an adult. Some pieces are very small and we don’t want children putting them in their mouth. This would greatly upset the fairies.

Each fairy house is unique and cannot be duplicated. This assures you of a one of a kind fairy house for your guest’s comfort. By the way, make sure you keep the door open so the fairies know they are welcome.
